Best Valentine's Day Ever, and It's Not Even Valentine's Day Yet

Today Woo took me to a spa and paid for a full body massage for me...so awesome. Then, while I was busy practicing the art of relaxation, he was out buying us the most awesomest computer ever!!! I went from blogging from a (don't laugh, don't judge) purple acer notebook to this amazing mac thingy that has a screen that makes me feel like I'm at the movies and is faster than any computer I've ever owned before. Why had I not gotten one of these sooner? Makes me feel like I've been living under a rock. So I've been playing with it ever since he brought it home and plugged it up for me. He told me it's my V-Day gift, which is kinda what I thought the massage was. I know I'm going to get jumped in the street by my own friends for saying it too often, but my Woo rocks and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Here's a picture because it's just the fanciest thing I've ever had and I'm just the kind of dork to blog about it (you can see my purple notebook off to the left):
So Jin and I are in business. Aw sookie sookie now, it's on like donkey kong...we're going to be a couple of blogging fools.

Jin also had his one month check up today and he is now 9 lbs 6.5 oz and is 22.75 inches long! My little baby boy is getting all growed up. I don't know whether to be happy or sad about it. Ugh, so silly, I know. I just don't want to take a single moment for granted because already, I can't believe an entire month has gone by. He was such a brave little guy, he also got a shot today and it made him cry but he stopped within about half a minute. Aw, poor baby, that was so hard to watch. He was pretty tired after all that so he's been passed out since and has gotten up only long enough to eat. I just want to hold him and squeeze him all day, he's too cute. :)

I didn't blog yesterday because we had a really long day. Sadly, we had to attend a funeral for a friend of Woo's named Matt. It was actually a really beautiful service and there were so many people who came, which I hope was of comfort to his family to see how much he was obviously loved. And since the boys were so dressed up and looking so nice for Matty, I took the opportunity to snap a photo of just a few of the guys:
I hope you had a great weekend. Don't forget to tell your loved ones how much you love them. We aren't promised tomorrow, but we have today, and for that I'm so thankful. Good night, loved ones. Love you!

Jin is One Month Old!

I forgot to post the photos from mine and Jin's little "photo shoot" for his one month photos. I plan to take all his monthly milestone photos next to his sock monkey so that I have a point of reference to see how much he's grown. Here's the first one, and he's wearing a cute little onesie from his Auntie Amanda, who rocks, by the way:

I got a ton of great ones but this is the one I think I'll use, and I'll try to capture him in the same pose for every monthly milestone from here on. But here are a few more funny ones just to share:

 And then he sneezed, haha...
Jin and Daddy were hanging out and chatting, and I had to get a couple of photos of that too:

What I didn't get a picture of (and I wish so badly I had!) was Jin smiling so big for Daddy. In fact, when he does that he smiles so big that his eyes squint up so tight they close, which is exactly what he did before I caught the two photos above. I can't wait to hear this kid's laugh. He's got such a mild temperament and a happy little attitude, I bet his laugh will be a hearty one that we'll get to hear often.

Renaissance Festival!!!

Today was a bee-you-dee-full day in Phoenix. We hung out with some great friends at the Renaissance Festival and had a blast! The only thing keeping today from being absolutely perfect was that my Woo had to work and couldn't join us. That stank, but Mom and my little Jin and I were so happy to get out in the nice sunshine and enjoy the company of some great people we love - Shannon and Kiernan, and Joel and Carrie and their two little cuties.

We really missed Woo today because it was so gorgeous out and we had such a good time eating a bunch of yummy junk food and walking around watching stuff like jousting and fire throwers. They were having some kind of cowboy festival in Old Town this morning where Woo works so he dressed the part and I had to get a photo - he was perfect. Korean cowboys just happen to be my favorite kind. And if they're bringing girl scout cookies to their co-workers, even better.
Our little Jin Bug (as his Auntie Stacey would call him, and I LOVE that) turned one month old today!!! He was such a good little guy at the festival, hung out with the best of them and barely made a peep. That's my little trooper. He was up long enough to see Daddy get home and hang out with him for a little while this evening. Here he is all tuckered out at the end of our long but awesome day. He's makes me fill with such pride and happiness just by looking at him sleep...be still, my heart.

Back into the Jin of Things

It's been almost a month since our little Nano was born (January 11th) and I've spent the month bonding and being selfish with our time together as a new little family. I can't begin to describe how special this time has been for me. Jin has forever changed our lives. He fills all my days with so much joy and happiness. It's been fun seeing him learn and watching him grow even in the little time he's been here with us. I can't believe he's a month old and I have to go back to work in a week and a half!

So back to a routine! Since I started this blog to keep everyone updated on all things Woo/Otineru, I need to get to it! :)

Our little ninja is getting so big already, it's hard to imagine he was in my stomach a month ago. He's beginning to keep his eyes on us and watch us and even follow us with his eyes as we move about around him. He's holding his head up more and staying awake for longer periods between feedings, naps, and diaper changes. We've been waiting anxiously for him to smile and he flashes us big gummy ones in his sleep, but until today, never when he's awake. I got a cute smile the other night as I was reading him to sleep. It was hilarious. I texted it to Woo who was at work and he responded with "that's one happy drunk":

Right before that we took photos to text to Daddy while we were doing some story/reading time before bed. His facial expressions crack me up sometimes!

And then today, for the first time while awake (technically, he was falling asleep), he flashed me the funniest, giddiest smile!
Man, I wish Daddy had been home to see it! That one was Daddy's smile, he's been working hard on getting Jin to smile for us. We'll just have to do it again when Daddy gets home tonight.

Here are a few more from the last month. The schedule is pretty much on an eat, sleep and poop rotation, with the occasional trip out to grab lunch or do some light grocery shopping. What did I even do with my time before this guy came along?
