Jin's First Photo Shoot!

Our great friends Brandi and Erron had gotten us a baby portrait session and package for our shower, and the photographer is the amazing Jennifer Halen, who is also a great friend of ours. We're so excited to receive the finalized package (I got them last week and am only now getting around to posting them). So here they are...so cute. These were taken on Monday, January 16th, so Jin was only 5 days old. I can't believe how much bigger he already is!

Thanks again to Brandi Trotter, Erron Halen and Jennifer Halen for these amazing photos. We love you guys!

Tired, But So Happy

Today while Woo was at work, Mom, Jin and I went out to the Mesa Marketplace Swap Meet and spent a good part of the day walking around and enjoying the really great weather. When Woo got home this evening he, Jin and I met Shannon and Kiernan for a sushi and sashimi dinner while Mom got caught up on some much needed rest. When we got home from that, Jin watched a little Saturday Night Live with me. :)
Today was a good day. A long one, but a good one. I'm operating on only a couple of hours of sleep, but still I can't help but just be thankful for how amazing and different my life is with Jin in it. Every moment is beautiful, even the tired ones in the middle of the night as I stand, rocking and bouncing my sweet son back to sleep. It'll be really hard going back to work next week but I'm thankful that Jin's Daddy is so hands-on and the most amazing father I know. I'm thankful to know that Jin will never want for anything in life, and will be raised in a household filled with so much love.

Here's what I found on my couch when I got out of the shower 15 minutes ago:
My sweet babies...this just pulls at my heartstrings. You can't see it but little Mushu was asleep on the floor right below them.

We're exhausted so it's off to bed for all of us. Hope you had as great a day as I did, and I hope you get some rest too. Good night friends!

Jin's Birth Video!! :)

Hi Family and Friends,

Woo spent yesterday afternoon making the most touching video I've ever seen for me and our little Jin. I can't get through this without crying, I was so touched that he took the time to make it for us. And it's BEAUTIFUL. I want to share it with our loved ones, so here's the link below and we also shared the link on both our facebook walls. I hope you like it as much as I do. My Jon and our Jin are so special to me, and since I can't even begin to explain just how much in words, this video at least does it some justice.

Love you all, Meghann

PS A very special birthday wish to some of the greatest friends a girl could have - my Amanda, my Nancy, my Stacey, and my Brad (well, he's technically Stacey's Brad, but as a couple they're both mine). Also, my Jennifer's birthday was back in November, but since I've got everyone else on here I couldn't not wish her a happy belated bday. :) I love you guys and miss you bunches and bunches and bunches.

Best Valentine's Day Ever, and It's Not Even Valentine's Day Yet

Today Woo took me to a spa and paid for a full body massage for me...so awesome. Then, while I was busy practicing the art of relaxation, he was out buying us the most awesomest computer ever!!! I went from blogging from a (don't laugh, don't judge) purple acer notebook to this amazing mac thingy that has a screen that makes me feel like I'm at the movies and is faster than any computer I've ever owned before. Why had I not gotten one of these sooner? Makes me feel like I've been living under a rock. So I've been playing with it ever since he brought it home and plugged it up for me. He told me it's my V-Day gift, which is kinda what I thought the massage was. I know I'm going to get jumped in the street by my own friends for saying it too often, but my Woo rocks and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Here's a picture because it's just the fanciest thing I've ever had and I'm just the kind of dork to blog about it (you can see my purple notebook off to the left):
So Jin and I are in business. Aw sookie sookie now, it's on like donkey kong...we're going to be a couple of blogging fools.

Jin also had his one month check up today and he is now 9 lbs 6.5 oz and is 22.75 inches long! My little baby boy is getting all growed up. I don't know whether to be happy or sad about it. Ugh, so silly, I know. I just don't want to take a single moment for granted because already, I can't believe an entire month has gone by. He was such a brave little guy, he also got a shot today and it made him cry but he stopped within about half a minute. Aw, poor baby, that was so hard to watch. He was pretty tired after all that so he's been passed out since and has gotten up only long enough to eat. I just want to hold him and squeeze him all day, he's too cute. :)

I didn't blog yesterday because we had a really long day. Sadly, we had to attend a funeral for a friend of Woo's named Matt. It was actually a really beautiful service and there were so many people who came, which I hope was of comfort to his family to see how much he was obviously loved. And since the boys were so dressed up and looking so nice for Matty, I took the opportunity to snap a photo of just a few of the guys:
I hope you had a great weekend. Don't forget to tell your loved ones how much you love them. We aren't promised tomorrow, but we have today, and for that I'm so thankful. Good night, loved ones. Love you!

Jin is One Month Old!

I forgot to post the photos from mine and Jin's little "photo shoot" for his one month photos. I plan to take all his monthly milestone photos next to his sock monkey so that I have a point of reference to see how much he's grown. Here's the first one, and he's wearing a cute little onesie from his Auntie Amanda, who rocks, by the way:

I got a ton of great ones but this is the one I think I'll use, and I'll try to capture him in the same pose for every monthly milestone from here on. But here are a few more funny ones just to share:

 And then he sneezed, haha...
Jin and Daddy were hanging out and chatting, and I had to get a couple of photos of that too:

What I didn't get a picture of (and I wish so badly I had!) was Jin smiling so big for Daddy. In fact, when he does that he smiles so big that his eyes squint up so tight they close, which is exactly what he did before I caught the two photos above. I can't wait to hear this kid's laugh. He's got such a mild temperament and a happy little attitude, I bet his laugh will be a hearty one that we'll get to hear often.

Renaissance Festival!!!

Today was a bee-you-dee-full day in Phoenix. We hung out with some great friends at the Renaissance Festival and had a blast! The only thing keeping today from being absolutely perfect was that my Woo had to work and couldn't join us. That stank, but Mom and my little Jin and I were so happy to get out in the nice sunshine and enjoy the company of some great people we love - Shannon and Kiernan, and Joel and Carrie and their two little cuties.

We really missed Woo today because it was so gorgeous out and we had such a good time eating a bunch of yummy junk food and walking around watching stuff like jousting and fire throwers. They were having some kind of cowboy festival in Old Town this morning where Woo works so he dressed the part and I had to get a photo - he was perfect. Korean cowboys just happen to be my favorite kind. And if they're bringing girl scout cookies to their co-workers, even better.
Our little Jin Bug (as his Auntie Stacey would call him, and I LOVE that) turned one month old today!!! He was such a good little guy at the festival, hung out with the best of them and barely made a peep. That's my little trooper. He was up long enough to see Daddy get home and hang out with him for a little while this evening. Here he is all tuckered out at the end of our long but awesome day. He's makes me fill with such pride and happiness just by looking at him sleep...be still, my heart.
